Apology from the South Australian Government following the Mullighan Inquiry
|
On 1 April 2008, the Premier of South Australia tabled in Parliament the Children in State Care, Commission of Inquiry, Allegations of Sexual Abuse and Death from Criminal Conduct report.
Recommendation 38 from the report states “That the South Australian Government makes a formal acknowledgment and apology to those people who were sexually abused as children in state care.”
You provided suggestions about the form of the apology and appropriate wording.
