The Mental Health Liaison Project (MHLP) is an innovative project designed for parents experiencing mental health difficulties who are clients of the Aberfoyle Park District Centre of Families SA. The project seeks to fast-track referrals for parents experiencing mental health difficulties, to assist them to continue to care safely for their children. The project places an experienced Mental Health Nurse within the Intake and Assessment Team at the District Centre. The Mental Health Nurse assists with the assessment of parents and the mobilisation of services according to a family's level of need.
