Concessions for drought-affected primary producers and small business operators

South Australian farmers and small business operators who receive Exceptional Circumstances and Transitional Income Support payments from Centrelink may be able to obtain State Government concessions on their:

• council rates, or pastoral or perpetual lease costs (for ‘outside of local government’ areas)
• energy costs (including off-grid electricity or LPG gas, where receipts are provided)
• water rates (available to both home owners and tenants who are charged for all their water use
• sewerage rates
• the Emergency Services Levy (fixed property)

These concessions are available against the principal place of residence only.

If you live outside a local government area, you may be eligible for a concession on your perpetual and pastoral lease costs, and a concession for your energy use.
 

How to apply

If you live within a local government area and receive Exceptional Circumstances or Transitional Income Support payments, use the Concessions Finder to apply:

1. Go to the Concessions Finder
2. Click on “Centrelink Health Care Card” and “find out more” to see a selection of concession types for which you may be eligible
3. Click on each of these for more information and to access application forms
