Social Housing Residential Pre-Qualification Builder Register
Housing SA is currently undertaking a review of its social housing pre-qualified builder list and registration requirements.
The Department for Families and Communities (DFC), Procurement and Grants Unit will release a Registration of Interest (ROI) later this year inviting builders to submit an application for a Pre-Qualified Builder Panel. Housing SA will notify current certified Pre-Qualified Builders to submit an application.
As a result of the proposed ROI, Housing SA is no longer accepting new applications for its Pre-Qualification Builder Register .
The ROI evaluation process will assess a builder’s capacity to satisfactorily contract with Housing SA and complete residential building and renovation contracts in registered categories. Pre-qualification will not guarantee any contracts will be awarded as each project is subject to a tender process.
Building contractors wishing to submit an application for Government Pre-Qualified Builder Panels are advised to register their interest with Tenders.SA via www.tenders.sa.gov.au website which provides registered builders with notification of tenders as they are released.
The pre-qualification process only relates to building contractors and not subcontractor trades such as carpenters, electricians and plumbers. Subcontractors interested in work will be required to join with a pre-qualified builder. Current list of prequalified building contractors.
