This program allocates funds to non-government organisations and local government authorities to provide a range of community based services that are consistent with DFC’s aims. Services include:
  • The Aboriginal Youth Action Committee provides the opportunity for Aboriginal young people to develop their own committee, which plans recreational, cultural and life skills activities within their communities helping minimise problems arising from disconnection.

Funding of is distributed to Aboriginal communities in remote, rural and regional of SA (excluding the APY Lands). Relationships Australia (SA) is funded to provide training, which enhances the youth workers’ community development and youth work skills, and confidence in delivering programs within their communities.
