Services for Aboriginal people

We have a number of services specific to the cultural needs of Aboriginal people. 

  • Aboriginal Culture and Identity Program
    For Aboriginal children under Guardianship of the Minister who have experienced disruption in their connections with family and kinship groups, and have reduced opportunities to acquire cultural knowledge and values.
  • Aboriginal Family Service
    Focuses on the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal families in the Ngarrindjeri region. It is based within the Intake and Assessment Team in the Murray Bridge District Centre.
  • Marni Wodli ("Good House")
    This is an accommodation program funded primarily to provide culturally appropriate accommodation options to at risk Aboriginal young people between 15 and 18 years of age.
  • The Metropolitan Aboriginal Youth and Family Services
    Provide a range of services for Aboriginal youth and families.  
  • Yaitya Tirramangkotti (Aboriginal child abuse report line)
    Specifically dedicated to providing advice and assistance in cases involving the abuse of Aboriginal children.
